Degree requirements: completion of 3 years of university or in the process of completing 3 years
Required courses: two full-course equivalents in Life Sciences and at least one full-course equivalent in the Humanities or Social Sciences or Languages. Recommended courses: Statistics and at least two full-course equivalents in courses that require expository writing.
MCAT: Only the most recent MCAT scores will be considered in the application process. Minimum: PS 9, BS 9, VR,9 WS N
GPA : 3.6 on a 4.0 (minimum) (calculated as a straight average if applying during the 3rd year of university, you can drop your 3 lowest grades if you have fully completed 3 years, you can drop your 4 lowest grades if you have already fully completed 4 years, etc.)
Personal statement: “all applicants are required to submit a personal statement, in an essay of 1000 words or less. A general guideline, the statement should address and discuss the applicant’s personal background, including particular interests and extracurricular experiences. Candidates should outline their choice of, and preparation for, a career in medicine. Applicants should also describe their premedical studies, expanding on what they have chosen to pursue and how this has prepared them for their future, including a careers in medicine”
